This Privacy Policy describes how RedRhynos ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit our websites, contact us about engagements, apply for a role, or work with us as a client. We try to keep it short, plain, and accurate.

1. Who we are

RedRhynos is a senior product-engineering studio based in Mangaluru, Karnataka, India. We work with clients across India, the UAE, the EU, the UK, and North America. The data controller for personal information collected through our websites is RedRhynos.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to do our work or respond to you.

Contact details - name, work email, company, phone number - when you submit a brief, request a consultation, or apply for a role.
Project context - the description of what you're building or trying to ship - when you submit a brief on our site.
Application materials - CV, portfolio links, GitHub/LinkedIn URLs, written answers - when you apply for a role.
Usage data - pages visited, approximate location (country / city level), browser, referrer - collected via standard analytics.
Engagement data - communications, documents, and access credentials shared with us during a paid engagement.

3. How we use it

To respond to inquiries within four business hours and to scope engagements.
To evaluate role applications and conduct hiring conversations.
To deliver, support, and improve services to existing clients.
To meet legal, accounting, tax, and contractual obligations.
To analyse, in aggregate, how visitors use the site and improve it.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share details from your project brief with third parties outside the people staffed on or evaluating that work.

4. Cookies & analytics

We use a small number of cookies to keep the site working and to understand aggregate usage. We do not use cookies for advertising.

With your consent, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website. Clarity captures how you interact with our pages - for example clicks, scrolling and mouse movement - through session recordings and heatmaps, along with basic device and browser information. We use this only to find and fix usability problems and improve our content. Text you type into forms is masked and not recorded. Clarity only loads after you click Accept on our cookie banner. If you click Decline, no analytics cookies are set and the site works exactly the same. You can change your choice at any time: .

5. How long we keep it

Brief and inquiry data - up to 24 months from the last contact, then deleted unless an engagement begins.
Application data - up to 12 months from the close of the role, longer only with your explicit consent for future opportunities.
Engagement records - for the duration of the engagement plus a retention window required by tax, accounting, or contract law.
Analytics data - aggregated and rotated on a 14-month rolling window.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete the personal information we hold about you. If you're in the EU, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar protections, those rights are statutory; elsewhere we'll honour them as a matter of policy.

7. Security

We work the way we ask our clients to work: encrypted storage, scoped access, audit logs, and regular reviews. Engagement data is stored in client-controlled cloud environments wherever possible. Internal data is kept in vendor systems with at least SOC 2 Type II certification.

8. International transfers

We work with clients and team members across multiple jurisdictions. Where personal data is transferred from the EU or UK to a country without an equivalent protection regime, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

9. Updates to this policy

We update this policy when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be flagged on the site for at least 30 days.
