Web application engineering

Web apps that load faster than your users can lose interest.

We engineer Next.js and React applications that hit sub-second loads, pass AA accessibility, and survive their own success - from internal tools and operator dashboards to marketing sites that actually convert.

Who we build for

Teams whose web app
is the product.

B2B SaaS dashboards

Multi-role admin consoles, customer dashboards, and analytics interfaces that need to feel as fast as Linear and as obvious as Stripe.

Internal & ops tools

Replacement for the Excel sheets, Retool sprawl, and one-off Django admins your operations team has outgrown.

Marketing & growth sites

Conversion-grade Next.js sites with real CMS workflows - measurable lift on signup, demo, and pipeline numbers.

Data & AI products

Streaming dashboards, LLM-powered interfaces, and visualization-heavy apps that stay smooth at 100k rows.

What we ship

Six engineering disciplines,
one production-grade frontend.

Performance, accessibility, type safety, and design systems aren't add-ons here. They ship with the first commit.

01 / Next.js applications

Server, edge, or static - the right one.

App Router, RSC, and edge rendering when it earns its keep. Plain SSG when it's faster. Zero ideology, measured tradeoffs.

Next.js · App Router · RSC · Edge
02 / Complex React SPAs

Dashboards that stay fast at scale.

Virtualized tables, optimistic updates, and state machines that don't fall over when real users hit them with real data.

React · TanStack · Zustand · XState
03 / Performance engineering

Sub-second loads, measured.

Bundle budgets, route-level code splitting, image and font discipline, RUM tracking from day one. LCP under 1.2s on 4G, in writing.

Lighthouse · Web Vitals · RUM · Sentry
04 / Accessibility & i18n

WCAG 2.2 AA, not "we tried."

Keyboard-first design, screen-reader testing, and proper i18n routing. Procurement-blocking accessibility issues, closed before they're flagged.

axe · WCAG 2.2 AA · ARIA · i18next
05 / Design systems

Components your team will reuse.

Headless primitives, tokenized themes, Storybook docs your designers actually open. No more rebuilding the dropdown for the fifth time.

Radix · Tailwind · Storybook · Tokens
06 / Marketing & CMS

Conversion-grade sites, properly authored.

Next.js + headless CMS that marketing can ship from on Friday at 5pm. Tracked, A/B-able, indexable, fast.

Sanity · Contentful · GA4 · GTM
Frontend audit

A 1-week paid audit. Performance, a11y, bundle size, maintainability - in writing.

Engineering philosophy

Frontend is half product, half infrastructure.

A web app that loses to a 3G user, fails a screen reader, or breaks on the first 1,000-row table is not "almost done." We treat the things most teams treat as polish as load-bearing from the start.

01

Performance is a budget, not a hope

Every route gets a bundle budget enforced in CI. We block PRs that ship unjustified weight. The result: median LCP of 0.8s on production traffic - not lab numbers.

02

Accessibility is a feature, not a checklist

Keyboard nav, focus rings, reduced-motion paths, and screen-reader testing are part of definition-of-done. We close enterprise procurement gates instead of triggering them.

03

Type safety, end to end

TypeScript strict mode, schemas at every API boundary, generated types from your database and OpenAPI spec. Whole classes of frontend bugs deleted at build time.

04

Design systems your team actually adopts

Tokens, primitives, Storybook docs your designers open and your engineers reach for first. No more parallel button components - and no more weeks of cleanup at year two.

Process

From kickoff to a web app
your team is proud of.

  1. 01

    Discovery

User flows, perf baseline, a11y audit, scope sign-off - fixed-fee, written deliverable.

  2. 02

    UX & design system

Tokens, primitives, and key flows agreed in Figma - before component code starts.

  3. 03

    Build

Two-week sprints behind feature flags. Storybook updated alongside production code.

  4. 04

    Hardening

Lighthouse CI, axe automation, manual a11y pass, real-device perf testing.

  5. 05

    Launch & iterate

Phased rollout, RUM monitoring, and a 90-day iteration plan handed to your team.

The stack

The frontend stack we'd still pick in three years.

We don't ship the framework-of-the-month. We ship what your team will be able to hire for, maintain, and trust - and what holds up when the user count goes up by an order of magnitude.

FAQ

Common questions, answered straight.

Don't see yours? Ask directly - we reply within four hours on weekdays.

What does a custom web application cost?
Pricing depends on various factors such as project scope, architecture requirements, feature complexity, and target timeline. We schedule an initial call to discuss your specific requirements and structure a clear, transparent proposal tailored to your project.
How long does a web app build take?
A focused internal tool or marketing site ships in 4-8 weeks. Complex SPAs and dashboards with role-based access, real-time data, and multiple integrations typically take 10-16 weeks. We agree milestones up front and bill per phase.
Do you build in Next.js or as a React SPA?
Both. Next.js when SEO, edge rendering, or marketing performance matter, or when there's a meaningful blend of public and authenticated surfaces. A pure React SPA when the product is purely a logged-in tool. We pick per project - never per fashion.
What kind of performance numbers do you commit to?
Default targets in our SOWs: LCP under 1.2s on simulated 4G, INP under 200ms, CLS under 0.05, Lighthouse 95+ on every key route, and AA accessibility on automated and manual audits. We measure on real-user data, not just lab.
Can you take over an existing web codebase?
Yes - and roughly half our web engagements start this way. We run a 1-week paid frontend audit covering performance, accessibility, bundle size, type safety, and maintainability. You leave with a written remediation plan whether or not you continue with us.
Who owns the code, the design system, and the analytics setup?
You do. Repos, hosting, CMS, analytics, and Storybook all live under your accounts from day one. We collaborate inside your environment - no black boxes, no vendor lock-in, no licensing on the work we deliver.

Ready to ship a web app users actually want to open?

We'll reply within four business hours with either a discovery proposal or an honest "not us, here's who" referral.
